Hey guys! Hope you are doing well! Weekend was great for me – chilling, having fun and exploring new places. Some of you have probably heard, that Aalborg finally got its own Street Food Marked. <3 I have met the concept before in Aarhus and I was really pleased with it. So I got quite happy when I heard that it is coming to our city as well!
The marked is placed at Skudehavnen in Vestbyen, which is quite perfect, cause we live just 3 minutes from there (could also be a bit dangerous with all the yummy food). 😀 Anyway, they have built it in an old factory, which quite fits the style and the concept of the place.
Aalborg Street Food Marked for all
The design of the place is, as the name suggests, street style. It really gives a cozy atmosphere and a chill vibe. I find it perfect to spend time with friends and enjoy a delicious food. The marked offers a wide variety of gourmet kitchens – indian, spanish, american, nordic, arabic, etc. There is a lot of choice for all preferences. I love how one place combines so many different types of kitchen, and you can get a great touch with the different cultures over there.
There are a lot of sitting places inside, but also outside, just next to Limfjorden. It is a great placement with a beautiful view. Me and J went there two days in a row, but we only managed to sit outside for a bit, as the weather was quite windy on Sunday.
On Saturday J had fish and chips, which was absolutely delicious, and I got a burger from the Burgers & Shakes place. On Sunday I enjoyed the most yummy “frikadeller sandwich” together with my absolute favourite now fries from the Duck and Fries place. I can’t remember the last time I had so yummy french fries! <3
It is just so dangerous that the place is so close by to our place, as it is tempting to just go there and grab dinner every day… 😀 If we do that, we should definitely forget about having good figures, haha!
So much hygge in one place
Me and J definitely enjoyed our time there. It just feels so free and relaxing, being at a place like this, interacting with people and listening to the hustle and bustle of all kitchens preparing their delicious meals. It is a great cultural experience indeed. I love the interior, the personalised design of each single place and the cute places where you can sit and enjoy your food.
A lot more to try out
There is still a lot of kitchens I really wanna taste, but as I live so close by, I doubt it is gonna be too long before I do. Every single one looks very exciting and I think it is great to taste something different and foreign.
Aalborg Street Food Marked the Lighthouse – recommended!
I am definitely gonna recommend for everyone that is into cultures, experiences, foreign cuisine, to check out Aalborg Street Food Marked, as there is definitely something to be seen and tasted. I am sure most of you will love the vibe of the place and what it offers. <3
That’s it for now guys. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for stopping by and talk to you very soon.
Much love <3
